DeKalb Area Agricultural Association, Inc. is a dynamic organization dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing with people of all ages the storied history of agriculture and its innovators in northern Illinois. DeKalb Area Agricultural Heritage Association, Inc. is an outgrowth of the DEKALB Ag Alumni organization but its focus goes beyond the story of "The Ag."
From its home in DeKalb, DeKalb Area Agricultural Heritage Association, Inc. will share the story of other agricultural innovators that have grown out of the DeKalb area such as the DeKalb County Farm Bureau. In addition, plans are being developed for taking this impressive story to a much larger audience, including the next generation, via travelling exhibits, educational programs and a "virtual museum" website.
Other major sources of financial support that DeKalb Area Agricultural Heritage Association, Inc. will rely upon include grant requests, an established endowment fund for major contributions, and for planned gifts, and corporate sponsorships from various companies and organizations that have a common interest in telling this story.
Contributions made to the DeKalb Area Agricultural Heritage Association, Inc. are tax deductible for the donor to the extent allowed by the IRS. All donors will receive an acknowledgement letter from the association.
