VOLUNTEERING
Thank you for your interest in becoming a DAAHA volunteer! We are dedicated to sharing the history of agricultural innovation through exhibits, events, and outreach programs. We are also committed to fostering historic stewardship and civic responsibility among the community as well as providing a hands-on experience to further expand educational understanding of local history and museum work through service learning and volunteer work.
As a volunteer for DAAHA you will have the unique opportunity to work with the museum from the ground up! We have volunteer positions open in almost every aspect of small museum work you can think of! Please take a moment to review the volunteer job descriptions by clicking on the job below.
No prior experience is necessary! All training and equipment are provided!
The DeKalb Area Agricultural Heritage Association, Inc. is seeking volunteers for the following opportunities:

Collections – data entry, describing, measuring, and photographing objects. Scanning photographs and slides
- Cleaning – sweeping and general cleaning of the DAAHA work space
- Communications – update the website, post to Facebook and Twitter, or write articles for the quarterly newsletter
- Educational Programs – present program in classrooms, help prepare program materials

Events – help with set up and tear down of event materials, during the event, preparation of materials prior to the event.

3rd Grade History Expo – late April at the Farm Bureau. Conduct a program with 3rd grade students

Soybean Adventure – July 20, 2019

Office – help with mailings, filing and paper shredding
