INTERNSHIPS

DAAHA has a variety of internships available each semester. Course credit is available depending on the needs of the student.

 

EVENTS PLANNER INTERNSHIP: Interns will learn the day to day operations of a small non-profit organization while aiding in various tasks including but not limited to, scheduling and coordinating programs, planning events, documenting donor communications, marketing and promotion of the organization. Focus will be placed on project management and determining priorities of daily tasks as well as long term projects.

Objective: Interns will gain an understanding of project management and determining priorities

 

MUSEUM COLLECTIONS INTERNSHIP: Interns will assist with the following: cataloging of objects and documents; exhibit planning, development, and design; the development of collections based educational programs for all ages; and entering data into Past Perfect. Additional duties may be assigned as time allows.

Objective: Interns will gain an understanding of day-to-day museum operations, collections processing, collections management, and exhibit planning through hands on activities.

 

DIGITIZATION INTERNSHIP: Interns will assist with the imaging of objects, slides, transparencies and photographs, entering the images into Past Perfect, museum collections software. Additional duties may be assigned as time allows. Photography experience required.
